Who helped inspire your love for plants? 💝
"Blossom Effect was inspired by my late grandmother, Pamela Morgan.
We planted mostly rose bushes and vibrant hibiscus plants. Those moments stuck with me as they began to cultivate my green thumb.
Later, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and after her passing, the tradition continues.
I made a vow to pursue my biggest dream which is committing to cultivating green spaces and a community of folks who love plants as much as me. People believed in it and I went on to teach more about the importance of plants.
As a black, queer woman, my path has been shaped by the colors of my identity. My experiences have illuminated the importance of representation and inclusivity. Blossom Effect isn`t just an idea — it`s my commitment to providing platforms for marginalized voices.
For those looking to become a plant parent:
1. Be courageous! Try plants and learn to master them. Don’t get discouraged If you fail - this is trial and error.
2. Stay true to YOU. If the only plants you like are Philodendrons, then stick with them :)
3. Find your folks! Surround yourself with like-minded people who will nourish your green thumb. "

"My plant journey started in March 2022 when I saw a cheap (at the time) Monstera albo and a Thai constellation.
When I got them I thought I needed an IKEA cabinet to house them. However, when the cabinet was completed, I realized that they didn’t need it and I now had an empty greenhouse.
I thought I was just going to get a few anthurium to fill it and make it look pretty.. boy was I wrong. I became so addicted to the leaves, the beautiful differences between each seedling, and the fascination with how plant genetics work.
Today, I’ve created countless hybrids, collected all of my dream plants and now own thousands of anthuriums. I still own the original albo and Thai constellation too. 🫣"
