Description

Deciduous or evergreen trees, shrubs and climbers producing often oppositely arranged leaves, clusters of often fragrant, partly tubular flowers with protruding stamens. There are over 300 species including Clerodendrum trichotum, harlequin glory bower prized for white flowers and brightly colored, blue fruits with contrasting star-shaped red calyces. Toxic to people and pets.
