Pachyveria

Pachyveria

x Pachyveria cristata

Description

Pachyveria are a hybrid cross between Pachyphytum and Echeveria. Succulents in this genus typically have colorful rosettes similar to Echeverias but with plump, chunkier leaves. Crested forms lose their rosette shape becoming a constantly widening and contorting fan shape caused by multiple growing points all pushing against each other. This is usually a result of damage to the central growing tip or a natural chance cellular mutation. Like their normal counterparts, these are great for dish gardens and rock gardens.
