Now called Haworthiopsis attenuata, formerly Haworthia attenuata, the Zebra plant is small, low growing and form rosettes of fleshy green leaves that are generously covered with white, pearly warts or bands on both sides of the leaves, giving them a distinctive appearance. There are about 80 species of Haworthia, but their classification can be complex. It is one of the few succulents that does well as a houseplant being able to tolerate lower light conditions, though at least bright indirect light is needed by a south facing window. Do not allow plant to sit in water as this may lead to root rot. Protect from frost.
