Known for its graceful, fan-shaped leaves, the Ginkgo tree is lovely in cut-flower arrangements and shines in the summer and fall garden when the leaves turn a brilliant golden before drifting to the ground. Use as a focal garden tree, street tree or even bonsai! Make sure you choose a male tree, because female trees bear messy, odiferous fruit. There are dwarf and standard varieties.
